HPC-AI Technology, Inc. is a global company offering a software platform that significantly accelerates deep learning training and inference. Our mission is to increase AI productivity. Therefor we help our clients utilize supercomputers and cloud platforms for large neural networks at a much lower cost. We develop the popular open source project Colossal-AI, which forms the core of our platform. Our team's expertise is based on years of academic achievements as well as experience gained from working at tech giants.

Meet the team

Prof. Yang You
Founder & Chairman
Yang is a Presidential Young Professor at the National University of Singapore where he teaches neural networks and deep learning. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from UC Berkeley. Yang made it onto the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list (2021) for young leaders and received the IEEE-CS Early Career Researcher Award for Excellence in HPC.

Prof. James Demmel
Chief Strategy Officer
James is a Distinguished Professor at UC Berkeley. He is the former chair of the Computer Science Division and EECS Department of UC Berkeley. His work on high-performance computing has been recognized by many honors and awards, including a member of the National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Engineering, American Academy of Arts and Sciences; Fellow of the AAAS, ACM, AMS, IEEE, and SIAM.

Zhengda Bian
Chief Technology Officer
Zhengda received master's degrees from NUS and XJTU. He is now the CTO of HPC-AI Tech and one of the key contributors to Colossal-AI. He is an expert in large-scale deep learning and distributed computing. He has published his works at top conferences and journals such as SC and TON.

Shenggui Li
Chief Product Officer
Shenggui Li is currently a machine learning system engineer and an open-source developer in HPC-AI Technology in Singapore. His research interest lies in the intersection of machine learning and high-performance computing. He graduated from Nanyang Technology University of Singapore in 2021 and was awarded 2nd place overall winner in the student cluster competition in ISC 21. He works on memory-efficient and large-scale model training systems and has published several papers in SC, TPDS, and ACL. He is currently working on the open-sourced Colossal-AI project to democratize large-scale deep learning.
