HPC-AI Technology, Inc. is a global company offering a software platform that significantly accelerates deep learning training and inference. Our mission is to increase AI productivity. Therefore we help our clients utilize supercomputers and cloud platforms for large neural networks at a much lower cost. We develop the popular open source project Colossal-AI, which forms the core of our platform. Our team's expertise is based on years of academic achievements as well as experience gained from working at tech giants.

Prof. Yang You

Founder & Chairman

Yang is a Presidential Young Professor at the National University of Singapore where he teaches neural networks and deep learning. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from UC Berkeley. Yang made it onto the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list (2021) for young leaders and received the IEEE-CS Early Career Researcher Award for Excellence in HPC.

Prof. James Demmel

Chief Strategy Officer

James is a Distinguished Professor at UC Berkeley. He is the former chair of the Computer Science Division and EECS Department of UC Berkeley. His work on high-performance computing has been recognized by many honors and awards, including a member of the National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Engineering, American Academy of Arts and Sciences; Fellow of the AAAS, ACM, AMS, IEEE, and SIAM.

Zhengda Bian

CTO

Zhengda received his degree from the National University of Singapore advised by Prof. Yang You. He is now the CTO of HPC-AI Tech and one of the key contributors to Colossal-AI. He is an expert in large-scale deep learning and distributed computing. He has published his works at top conferences and journals such as SC and TON.

Tong Li

Vice President

Tong Li received his Master’s degree from Imperial College London. He has 10-years of experience in AI and NLP and is the main contributor to the AI applications built on top of Colossal-AI. He is an expert in Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP) and their related applications. He has published his work at top NLP conferences such as EMNLP, NeurIPS.

Ziyuan Cui

Director of Product

Ziyuan is currently the tech leader of ColossalAI platform. He received his master degree majoring in computer science from University of California, Irvine. He was an experienced software engineer in AWS AI, leading development of several popular SageMaker products from 0 to 1. He is an expert in the area of large model AI platform and mlops.

Siqi Mai

Director of Operations

Siqi received her master degree from the National University of Singapore advised by Prof. Yang You. She is now the Director of Operations of HPC-AI Tech and takes charge of the day-to-day operation. She has published her works at some AI conferences such as CVPR and NeurIPS.

Yuanheng Zhao

Director of Engineering

Yuanheng received his bachelor's degree from the University of Washington and master's degree from the University of Chicago. Launching his career at an AI chip startup, he honed his expertise in software and compiler engineering by building components of the AI compiler's pipelines. He is now the Director of Engineering and takes charge of guiding the MLSys team.
